Good strategy in any event. Should be repeated in as many beach states as possible. Though I don't see Charlie Crist, Rick Perry or Herr Gropengovernor doing so.

At any rate I thought it was pretty cool.

On another note, I saw some Obama people doing voter registration on the beach near Convention Hall.

The city is making quite a comeback, lots of nice, affordable places to eat, funky stores and the beach is great. I was there two years ago and it was a ghost town. If you're by the Jersey Shore I have to reccomend it. You'll pay nothing for parking--we were in Manasquan a few miles down the shore last week visiting my husband's old stomping grounds and parking cost $11.

There is a $5 for beach acess but that's affordable for Jersey and God knows the city needs it so we didn't try to sneak in although it's possible.

I'm just hoping that the artists and the Gay and Black communities who've led the way on bringing this place back don't get priced out of its revival.
