Edited on Mon Sep-01-08 08:58 AM by EV_Ares

8. "I'd say that John McCain made a bold choice here," Sen. Joe Lieberman said on CBS' Face the Nation
Edited on Mon Sep-01-08 09:00 AM by oberliner
"In Gov. Palin, John has found a maverick who's done exactly the same thing at the state level that he's done at the federal level," Lieberman said. "So I think what Sen. McCain is saying with this choice is we're serious about shaking up the status quo in Washington."

14. No problem - Do you think Palin may drop and be replaced by Joe?
For some reason it seems like Joe is really who McCain wants and that we could see a Harriet Miers situation with Palin dropping out leading him back to his true choice of Lieberman.

17. Yes, he was supportive. But...
he did say "I don't know her." He had no choice but to be supportive. How can one be supportive if they don't know who it is that they're supporting.

The BS was getting very deep...couldn't find my shovel...had to disconnect.

13. How 'bout this possibility?
He's going to use Palin in an attempt to get elected...after the election she apologizes and states because of family issues she cannot continue...in pops Lieberman as VP.

http://tpmcafe.talkingpointsmemo.com/talk/2008/08/palinlieberman-1.php

Now this appears very Rovian.

16. Check out this letter from Gov. Palin to Senator Akaka.

No love lost between Lieberman and Palin.

I would bet that Lieberman was McCain's first choice as VP, squelched by his advisors. Now that's a maverick.

19. Lieberman needs to choose his words of praise carefully. Wait
unitl the Enquierer and others start to dig up info. about her extreme right wing-anit Israel affiliations. They can start with Pat Buchanan.
