Babygate: Warren Stupidity Declares This STOOPID
September 1, 2008
Hollis, NH

Warren Stupidity, blogging from his basement 'office', has offically declared Babygate Stoopid.

"I haven't seen so many good democrats fall for a Rovian diversion since the Bad Looter Meme outbreak of Katrina", Stupidity said, "did we all bang our heads too hard when Gramps startled us by selecting the worst choice for a major party vice presidential candidate ever?"

When asked what Democrats should do about Babygate, Stupity said: "get a f_g clue. The issue here is not Palin's baby, the issue is that Gramp's has terrible judgement. Bad judgement on foreign policy, bad judgement on domestic policy, bad judgement on who he associates with (you do remember the Keating Five, don't you?), incredibly bad judgement on a routine basis as evidenced by his completely unqualified choice of a running mate."

At this point the interview terminated abruptly as Mr. Stupidity started spurting coffee and wildly gesturing with his hands, screaming something about infectious moranity and national security.

1. Oh, you're a man. You don't know shit.
That's one response I got yesterday when I tried to suggest the same thing.

Good luck.

7. I agree
No need to ride baby-gate when there are concrete public issues to discuss from NRA support to flip flopping the the ear marks for Alaska.

3. Warren I agree with you 100%
Issues folks, issues. This prego thing will surface it the facts overwhelmingly support...however what do you think the MSM will think if they log in and read this stuff?

I know we are all emotional about winning. I cried for two days when we lost in 2004. But this is nuts. Focus on the lies that are easy to prove and the fact that she is about as experienced as a dog catcher.

23. I agree with letting the tabloids do the baby thing
It makes us look petty and imature to focus tooo much on her personal stuff, but we do need to know her character, on the other hand. It certainly is a help to me to read all the very smart people on DU. ...... Mrs. Moose

11. This smelled Rovian to me, but some Democrats do jump for the bait
and swallow it hook line and sinker. We're being suckered with the "it's not really her baby, but her daughter's" with no facts and only assumptions and opinions that she did not look pregnant. This accusation has the potential for a huge backlash and could become "the" story for days when we need to get out a more important message.

15. Kooky Who-mommy Conspiracy Theories
There may be something to this story but it cannot help Obama. It will only make Dems appear to be attacking a mom who was trying to protect her daughter, and is now raising a special needs child.

Some of the speculation is interesting and may pan out. But when expands to incest without the slightest bit of evidence, it makes us look like idiots. Sleazy idiots.

16. I support Warren Stupidity for head of National Security.
This is nonsense, has been and I do see it as a Rovian manuevering that some Dems can't let go cause they're freepers in disguise.

17.  Baby-gate is a win-win situation for Palin
It is at most a distraction from the important issues. And even if she finally admits that yes, the rumors are true and it's her daughter's baby, than the press frames it to make her look like a good mother who covered up for her poor daughter at great personal sacrifice to bring up a handicapped child. She will prey on people's sympathies by admitting "Okay, yes, I did it, but please don't judge me, I covered up for my poor daughter...", or words to that effect, thereby ensuring her victim status deserving of sympathy.

22. The mainstream media will portray her as victim
They will frame it to say "So at great personal sacrifice, she lied to protect her poor daughter." I'm just sayin'.

18. while I agree with you that this is not "our" ax to grind...
I hope someone National Enquire-ish grinds it. I won't stop anyone from talking about, but there are bigger issues.

But please keep in mind the American public is very fickle and smaller things have brought down better candidates. remember the Dean Scream (that was stupid) or the Mondale photo?

Just sayin'...

24. Update 1: Stupidity Trumps Stupidity: bring on Baby-Babygate!
The swirl of moronic stupidity goes full circle and blasts through to reality:

John McCain's running mate: Sarah Palin's teenage daughter is pregnant
The 17-year-old daughter of Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin is pregnant, the Alaska governor said today, in an announcement which could anger the extreme Christian right within her party.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/uselection2008/johnmccain/2662794/John-McCains-running-mate-Sarah-Palins-teenage-daughter-is-pregnant.html

Five months pregnant, that is, and unmarried. So the stupid is compounded on the stupid. Trig is of course not Bristol Palin's baby, but the speculation on Bristol's 'baby fat' was actually on target. Bristol is a victim of Republican Abstinence Abuse, of an upbringing that kept her ignorant of and/or afraid to use birth control while committing the mortal sin of being a teenager with a newly functional vagina and a hormonally challenged brain.

I take back everything I ever said about BabyGate, it was just the slightly off target precursor to Baby-Babygate.

Why should we deny them their pleasure??? :sarcasm:

Besides that, if we tell them to give it a break we get attacked.
