I'm so sick of hearing SBLiars' Damage is all Kerry's fault!!!
First they said it was Kerry's fault because he touted his record in Vietnam during the DNC Convention. That means it's okay for other people to tell dirty lies about it, apparently.

And of course if he hadn't brought it up, the punditocracy would say it's his fault for failing to "define" himself as a military man, thus leaving the door open to criticism; they'd question why he'd run from his record.

Now they're saying it's his fault because he responded too slowly to the attacks.

Of course, if he'd responded immediately, they'd say it was his fault for bringing attention to something that otherwise would have gone away with little notice; no doubt he'd be criticized for being too defensive and miscalculating the importance of John O'Neill et al.

No matter what he does, and no matter how low BushCo goes, the media will keep telling us it's all his fault.

1. Well on the TODAY SHOW Bush said he (yes Bush) served honorably. . .
. . .I think that puts his service in play.

2. Maybe at the Convention, they'll have his fellow "fighter pilots" with him
Get 'em all up there, all the guys who served "honorably" with the Chimp!

You KNOW it's going to happen. Of course, it's going to happen the moment when he's on the stage alone.

9. No it will be repuke 9/11 families and Guliani
They tried finding fighter pilots for Bush and came up empty, lol.

Do you think any swift boat liars will be there? Or other veterans to smear Kerry for his anti-war efforts?

3. Yeah, Yeah
Nothin to worry about I think though, Bush may ahead in some polls but remember people this is the man who was down 30 in NH then came back to win it, he also beat a popular governor in 1996 by a sizable margin of 8%. I think we should be more optimistic honestly.

5. I have little optimism at this time
The people running this campaign have squandered the Swift boat issue horribly. They have been inept. Rove is dancing around like a welterweight and we don't even have our gloves or the right color boxing shorts on yet.
Maybe the bronze was OK for the US men, but I want to win the gold here. And this team has yet to show that they know how to run a campaign.
Rove, on the other hand, is a dangerous, sly, and knowledgeable person. Some people on our team have repeatedly underestimated his abilities and tactics.

7. majority aren't buying the lies
and half think Bush is behind it. Kerry is still in good shape, expect the counter attack to get stronger and stronger.

10. thanks for puttin it good
I understand people are a little wary but I think they are completely wrong that Kerry is running a Dukakis lite campaign, I dont recall Duk saying whoever the Reagan secretary of state was at the time, Baker? or whoever to resign because Saddam was funded by them, Kerry has called out Rummy on Abu Gharib and demanded he resign.

15. It's just that you folks
can't handle the truth. There were atrocities committed in Viet Nam. That war was a mistake. So is the Iraq war. Bye now.

4. stop with your elitist analyzing!
We all know it was Kerry's fault. Bush and Rove are nice guys, really. They wouldn't have smeared Kerry if he didn't force them too.

11. When BushCo responded immediately to Richard Clarke
everyone said they made it worse by drawing attention to his book. Same thing when Fox sued Al Franken. His book went straight to #1 as a result. If Kerry had gone after swift boat liars hot and heavy, everyone here would be cracking on him for that right now, about what horrible judgment he had, etc.

You know who I think is to blame for the SBliars fiasco? The freakin' media. If you have enough money and you spew lies, the media will pick up on it and print it like god's honest truth.
