Today I am PROUD of DU and the Internet . We struck a blow for TRUTH that HAD to be TOLD! Agree? |
|
Where would we be without the Internet! And I especially love Democratic Underground! The MSM tries to discredit us at every turn, to no avail. Look at the POWER we have to knock MSM out of the ballpark! We, the people! Right now this is where most of our power is, and this is why we need Obama in the WH AND why we need to support DU, if only with a few dollars.
Not trying to create an advertisement for DU, but I am reminded again today that we all would be in a world of s*it if the internet ever came under corrupt corporate control. I mean that with all seriousness.
Congratulations, fellow DUers and internet bloggers everywhere! We DID it. We DO have a voice!

1. Im not sure the truth has been revealed yet |
|
Its a little too coincidental for Palin to now claim her daughter is pregnant after the rumors are that she already HAD a baby that grandma is claiming as her own child.
It doesnt pass the smell test.

young women who get pregnant in unfortunate circumstances and lose the child in some way, often get pregnant again within a short period of time. I maybe way off base here and I can't prove this. This is what some social service counselors relayed to me many years ago.
Edited to add my slim sources.

3. Score one for the good guys! |

We are on the cusp of a great evolution in the way this country communicates.
We are in the last stages of moving from a One-to-Many News Environment controlled by MSM into a Many-to-Many environment in which We, the People, are the reporters.
A New Day...

4. Right on. Speak Truth to Power |
|
The Democratic Party is the Truth party. The Republican Party is the Power party.
But in the long run, Truth has power. Republicans can be short-sighted.

14. In other words, the blind nut almost caught a squirrel |
|
All the chatter I bypassed was about Sarah Palin's fifth child actually being that of her daughter.
Something about someone being pregnant is always a good guess, because sooner or later it usually turns out to have a kernel of truth.

12. I'm more excited about the following being revealed |
|
<->AIP <->Bridge to Nowhere <->Ethics Violation <->Husband's DUI <->Lied about being Miss Congeniality
These are all things that came out today (I'm sure I'm missing some) that are now being DWARFED by the story of her pregnant daughter. For what it's worth, I'd love to see the above issues get more play than a 17yr old who got knocked up, 'cause you know what, that happens every single fucking day and those young women don't hear what great parents they have. Instead the Palin's are praised for "keeping" the baby and standing by their family. We hear how the "other" girls who get knocked up have terrible parents and no faith, because if they wear God fearing, they would have practiced abstinence and wouldn't be in this mess.
You know what else this has done? It's giving the fundie wing-nuts a new anti-choice soap box to stand on and in the process, ruining a 17yr old girls life.

13. Post on DailyKos is reporting that the National Enquirer is what scared Palin. |
|
Not the blogs.
Apparently, the Enquirer has a big story coming out.

15. Scared Palin into what? |
|
Pregnant daughter stories have a way of making themselves apparent. Surely Palin wasn't planning on hiding it forever.
