Poll question: Should McCain cut Palin loose?
Is it time to nominate someone else at the puke convention?

Try to answer this from the McCain point of view. What's the best politics for him. Obviously, it's a lose-lose for McForgotToFuckenVetThisPerson either way.

3. No, he should keep her.

The fundies love her, and we're getting the hugest laugh up here. We needed something to liven up what was otherwise a gray and dismal summer in Alaska. This guarantees an autumn full of fireworks and surprises. I love it.

4. It would destroy his candidacy to do so.
Dropping Palin means admitting he made a reckless and dangerous choice. How can he survive that?

8. I agree.
It's almost like getting out of a bad shotgun vegas wedding. He might be better off admitting he was wrong and moving on. Big problem is that I don't think anyone else will want the job at this point.

13. He could clam he was suffering from dementia at the time he selected Palin
And he is now thinking clearly. People would excuse it as just a symptom of old age and it would do no further damage then not remembering where his homes are.

6. Choosing her was bad judgment. Cutting her loose would be admitting it.
And we all know, rethugs do not admit to, acknowledge, or correct mistakes.

7. I answered NO, but to be honest, I don't really care! If they keep her, and
new stories keep coming out every day, it's disaster. If they scrap her and pick someone else, it's also disaster because it proves McNuts can't make a decent decision!

10. YES! God I hope she is dropped soon, because
this is really making it difficult to get back to work on my novel. Reality has proven much more fun than the fiction I'm currently writing. LMAO.

18. This reminds me of the Harriet Miers fiasco.
There was one scandal, or overstatement, or underqualification after the other.

11. Doesn't matter, he's toast either way.
If he keeps her, she drags the campaign down.

If he replaces her, he admits he can't make important decisions.

Lose lose for him... win win for us.

12. Hell no, this is too much fun
Oh, from his point of view. Hmm, hard to say, he's kinda screwed either way.

I think he's got to try to weather the storm though, admitting he screwed it up by naming her will hurt him too much. He might be able to weather the storm if just tries to keep her in the background and...

Nah, he's screwed. LOL.

17. I wouldn't want to take the risk that Sarah Palin would end up Commander and Chief by some accident,
of history, however slight that risk might now appear be.

It is just waaaaaaaaaaaaay too risky and waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay tooooooo dangerous to contemplate.

19. Seeing the Republican Party twist in the wind is wonderfully entertaining
I actually enjoy coming in to GDP these days. The more Palin looks like a complete kook and McCain an unthinking gambling fool for appointing her, the better as far as I'm concerned.

Especially the AIP thing! All of those statements about not being buried under an American flag and so on are pure gold!
