The view from pro-life conservatives on Palin |
|
I was at a family picnic on Labor Day with my conservative siblings.
My sister "likes Palin's ideas". (She didn't go into details - but she would like her pro-life, religious viewpoints).
My brother doesn't have a problem with her being on the ticket and likes her fundamentalism.
The pro-life, head in the sand about global warming, etc., conservatives are going to overlook all of the problems and faults we see.
As far as people like that go - Palin does make the ticket stronger.
Of course - they are willing to overlook all of the faults of Bush & Co. as long as they think that conservatives are the "good guys". Nothing seems to change that point of view.

There is nothing you can do about them. They are impervious to reason or facts. Their minds are made up: bush is great, McCain is great, Palin is great, rinse and repeat.

2. Exactly what I was going to say |

I doubt there are many pro-life fundamentalist christian creationists considering Obama. They've all taken a big swig of the Kool Aid.

The only "facts" that they listen to are the ones that support their ideas. They consider themselves well-informed. :(

3. Those people are the reason she was picked |
|
Ultra conservative Uber Christian antichoice social neanderthal. And she has a vagina. Exactly what McSame needed. He does not have a strong connection to the religious right. Palin gives him that.
All we have to do is keep rubbing their faces in the fact that the GOP keeps promising them the world and keeps burning them after they get the election.

5. She wouldn't have those ideas if some money didn't go along with them. Very little money, too. |

I have no objections to Sarah Palin being a whore for the oil cartel - I do have an objection to her being a cheap whore.

6. If the Majority of Republicans Wanted That |

We'd have presidential nominee Huckabee.

If he wanted the Christians, why didn't he tap Huckabee? People have already voted for him by the million! Maybe Palin was a "stealth" candidate and we weren't supposed to find out about her far-out religious views until it was too late.
