There may be another A.I.P.: George Wallace's American Independence Party --
This third party was a vehicle for George Wallace and General Curtis LeMay in 1968 when that ticket carried 5 states and garnered 10,000,000 votes. Anyone out there know if the Alaskan Independence Party was an off-shoot of the Wallace party, or an "original" creation?
