Leave Bristol Palin ALONE . . . Give it to Mom with both barrels!
We Democrats need to learn how to talk about this aspect of the fiasco that is John McCain's VP choice.

LEAVE BRISTOL PALIN ALONE. She is a 17 year old kid who got pregnant. She deserves our sympathy and support regardless of whether she decides to keep the baby or have an abortion.

Her mother's policies and positions on Reproductive Rights for women, CAN AND SHOULD BE, called into question by all of this.

Here are at 4 questions that everyone in the MSM should be asking:

1. Governor Palin, support "abstinence only" education in Alaska public schools. It should be clear to you, from your own family's experience, that "abstinence only" education does not work. Do you still support "abstinence only" education, and if so, why?

2. Governor Palin, you are champion of so-called "family values." You must have known that by accepting the offer to be John McCain's running mate, you must have known that you would be exposing all members of your family to intense media scrutiny. What does it say about your "family values" that you would knowingly expose your pregnant teen-aged daughter to the type of media scrutiny that she is now getting?

3. Governor Palin, you are champion of so-called "family values." In accepting the offer to be John McCain's running mate, you have decided to embark on an exhaustive 2 month long presidential campaign, and if John McCain wins, you will, naturally be extremely busy learning, and performing, the duties of the Vice President of the United States. What does it say about your "family values" that, at a time when your teen-aged daughter needs you the most, you have chosen a career path that will, by definition, make you unavailable to her?

4. What does it say about your "family values" that, at a time when your 4 month old child, with special needs, needs you the most, you have chosen a career path that will, by definition, make you unavailable to him?

Make this all about Gov. Palin (and about John McCain's terrible judgment in picking her) but leave the poor teen-aged kid out of it!
