Obama successfully reeled in the Clinton voters (Gallup)

Before the convention:

70% of Hillary supporter said they'd vote for Obama

After the convention:

81%

Before the convention:

47% of Hillary supporters were CERTAIN they'd vote for Obama

After the convention:

65%

There's the bounce, right there.

Do we really think that Sarah Palin will pull these people back toward McCain?

I think McCain made a major miscalculation in thinking so.

4. she's going to pull in the fundies - hopefully alienate Indepedents with her stance
I must say my husband is pretty horrified by her selection. He was not a Hillary supporter at all, he would not have voted for her... but he even said tonight, for the very first time, he said, if she had gotten the nom, he would have voted for Hillary, he recognizes her work and accomplishments, but he has had a very visceral reaction to Palin.. My DH is an Independent, if his reaction is typical - we are set....

5. My Repub neighbor was leaning toward Obama and is so insulted and pissed about the Palin debacle
that she and her ex-marine husband are firmly in the Obama column now. Go Palin! You keep bringing home the moose and the Obama votes! Caribou Barbie is the best thing that ever could have happened to the Dems. I'm loving every minute of it.`

6. Well, Palin dropped her stump speech line praising Hillary...
... the day she was booed by the crowed for praising Hillary.

Good gawd the GOP thinks women are stupid, don't they?
