Weep for NPR! Not ONE use of the word "secede" this morning. |
|
Not even the most obtuse, indirect, hypothetical reference.
They have truly become State Radio.

25. She spoke at their convention. But she was never a member. |
|
Unfortunately, the original claim was that she *was* a member. Since the state has party registrations going back to 1982, they were able to prove she was not. And once the claim that she was a member was disproven, the media ignored everything else associated with this claim, e.g. her hubby's long-time membership, her support through speeches, etc.

to have it become another mouthpiece for the right-wing.

had one guy from Politico and two GOP talking heads on her show yesterday to 'discuss' Palin. Gee, guess what they all thought??

9. Diane Rehm is a fascist! A rightwing mouthpiece. She is DEAD TO ME!!!! |
|
Get a grip. It is not her responsibility to spoon feed her listeners. She presents multiple points of view and allows us to actually THINK. Or perhaps you'd like NPR to be the leftwing equivalent of Fox News in which idiots tune in and get their daily affirmation.

17. My point would be that on a show that I would have thought to be |
|
particularly important as it regarded the surprise announcement of Palin for VP, she did NOT offer multiple points of view. She offered three versions of "Sarah Palin is a reforming maverick who represents women." Had I not been on this board prior to listening, which most Americans are not, I would have come away with a very favorable view of Palin. Instead I came away with a slightly distasteful view of Diane Rehm. I was also fairly surprised because usually her panels are fair and evenly mixed. This one simply was not, no matter how you look at it.
Whip me with your scathing rhetoric all you want. That panel was not remotely balanced.

NPR has been the last refuge of the truly hopeless, tripping-over-themselves-to-be-the good-guys leftists for at least a decade. Where do you think we Democrats first fomented the idea that we'd rather be "smart" than win elections? Outlets like NPR, which are mainly staffed by liberals, have helped impose a different set of rules on Democrats, whereby they must always and at all times be the "good guys" while the GOP operatives can say whatever they want.
