Romney readies for White House run if McCain fails.

This is kind of a...strange attitude to take towards your party's nominee, isn't it?

But even if his former GOP rival John McCain wins the presidency in November, Romney says he won't emulate his father by taking a Cabinet position — apparently because he still has his eye on the presidency.

"I saw my dad serve in the Cabinet, and I learned something from that experience," the former Massachusetts governor said Tuesday. "He felt he was kind of soldiered (manhandled) by the young folks in the White House, and then there's the big bureaucracy that you try and move. It's hard to do that. I just don't have any interest in a Cabinet position."

Since ending his own bid for the Republican presidential nomination in February, Romney has done everything asked of him to advance McCain's candidacy.

3. Hillary is doing the same thing, but she's keeping it to herself.

I do believe Hillary and Bill when they say they want Obama to win the election. Both will probably get very important positions in the Obama administration. But if the worst case scenario were to happen and McCain wins, Hillary's 2012 campaign will kick off on November 5th.

4. Romney had a mormon problem in the primaries

Why is that going to change in 2012?


I know people will say 'well, they said a black guy or a woman could never have a chance either' but I think that's different. A lot of people just don't understand mormons and think its a cult. Albeit a nice, freindly sort of cult.


I would have no problem voting for the right mormon, but when 65% of people say they wouldn't, you know there's a problem.

I don't want to hear from a whole slew of Mormon Republicans on how Mitt is "God's Anointed" for President for the rest of the election! I might go mad!
