That's all that's going on here. As I am watching TV they are saying Palin has energized the base like Redbull. All that really means to me is that the base was so turned off by all the familiar faces that an unfamiliar one is some exciting relief to cling to. A hope to somehow vindicate the choices that were made, and correct the cognitive dissonance.

So they pick Abortion as their primary criterion to get excited about and the appealing thing about Palin is the fact that they have never heard of her and therefore don't associate her with George Bush and the republicans.

Yet they haven't stated how they stand for anything other than the same old GOP corporate agenda.
