Attacks don't work very well when they are seen to come from avowed enemies. It is smart of Obama/Biden to expess respect at least initially. And the best way to raise questions about the Repub V.P. nominee is to propagate the criticisms of those from her own party.
The best ding against Palin I have heard is from Ben Stein' CNN interview:
"I don't think she's said a word in her life about the national economy, which contributes to making this one of the oddest choices in the history of presidential politics. I think this may go down as the most peculiar vice presidential choice there's ever been." This questions McCain's temperment and judgment -- is he addicted to craps or just totally lost his mind?
