I talked to a guy yesterday who used that term and his voice was quivering as he told me he was so excited about Sarah Palin being on the ticket. I had to laugh.

I made calls tonight and a woman in her high 80's sat next to me. I asked her if she was going to watch the speech tonight and she said "no, she's a slut." I died laughing, even tho they strongly discourage negative stuff in the office. But this lady said, "I'm old. I can't say whatever I want. I earned it."

When pressed few people I talked to could come up with solid reasons for voting for * in '00 or '04. But they became belligerent when people doubted w's ability to lead.

The fact of the matter is Obama has co-sponsored hundreds of bills, many outstanding pieces of legislation. What eventually happened to them is they never made it past Dimson's pen.

The fact of the matter is a Senator can NOT change the world, he can only be one of 100 (or 535) voices. He can promote, debate, push, lead as much as possible, but without some sort of conciliation from the White House that Senators legislation simply won't make it.

Its not hard to find the bills Obama has been involved with, many good bills and they represent what type of governance he would bring to the White House. Contrasting that with the sludge from Alaska is not hard to do.
