This nasty tone is a disaster for the GOP
I haven't seen such ugly crap since the 1992 GOP convention - and it's that ugly crap that lost them the election.

Mark my words - they're losing tens of thousands of voters per second with this nasty shit.

1. Anyone still sitting on the fence and watching this shit has just jumped to our side
unless they were the complete, intolerant hate-mongers these asshats appeal to in the first place.

She can live in a white house, but not our White House.

4. I was just thinking the same thing - she's Pat Buchanan in a skirt
To paraphrase - "What's the difference between Pat Buchanan and Sarah Palin? . . . Lipstick."

12. and he was a laughing stock
Difference: he wasn't on the ticket.

And say what you will about Zell, he had at least paid his dues.

This woman is nobody and attacks people who've done infinitely more than her.
Who the fuck does she think she is?

On the one hand, she can't be criticized. On the other, she's as nasty as they come.

Also, the GOP thinks it's still 204 and are clueless as to the country's mood.

I hope and don't think this will play.

13. This entire night was Zell Miller
They all remind me of that Bob Rumson character from "The American President."

"Bob's problem is that he can't sell it! We have serious problems to solve, and we need serious people to solve them. And whatever your particular problem is, I promise you, Bob Rumson is not the least bit interested in solving it. He is interested in two things and two things only: making you afraid of it and telling you who's to blame for it. That, ladies and gentlemen, is how you win elections."

8. I agree. This is beyond the pale.
Vicious and mean.

All Palin had going for her was her personality, and now she's painted herself as a mean, bitter, spiteful person.

14. I think the Republicans have given up the quest for independents and moderates
They're back to Rove's 2004 strategy of trying to bring out as many right wingers to the polls and maximize the base. You can bet with her psychotic religious bent, preachers throughout the bible belt will be urging their flock to go out and vote for her.

Like Chris Matthews said, there was absolutely no Hillary Clinton in her at all. She's not a pick by McCain to try to get Hillary voters.

15. If we had a media in this country, this would be the message of the night.
Instead, we get "she exceeded expectations." God, I've gotten sick of hearing that the past 8 years.

How did she assuage concerns about her qualifications? She didn't. Instead, this empty suit viciously attacked a person with a lifetime of achievement.

17. Rethugs made the same mistake of underestimating inexperieced Bill Clinton
and also the nation's desire for change...we had had 12 years of Reagan/Bush and Clinton/Gore seemed a fresh breath of air. Plus, Ross Perot split the Rethug party. Obama has rallied against these Rethugs with some help from Hillary for driving up the excitement factor. Dems convetnion=hope and inspiration and desire for change, Rehtugs convention = hate, hate, more hate and the status quo

The repubs seem to always behave like gutter slime.
