is not sexism. It's the media's job to ask questions, report and inform. That's not sexist.

7. After she's given some interviews, we'll know more about her
People are just getting to know her now. It would be wrong for Obama to use her family drama politically. But her family is part of her life and it's fair for the voters to find out what they are like, especially since her views on family affect her policies. She believes in no abortion even for rape or incest. As governor, she cut funding for pre-K and special needs education in spite of a state budget surplus.

They say she won't be answering any questions -- only appearing in scripted situations

9. Yes, but with an asterisk
She is a victim of sexism, but on the part of the GOP. A horrendously unqualified candidate, she was picked only because she is a woman.

Period.

Other victims of sexism are the legion of more qualified GOP women who worked for years and years, paid their dues, got solid experience (although I still wouldn't vote for any of them) and watched an unqualified, perky bimbo get promoted over them.

At least, now they know how it feels.

19. No, she is a victim of being trailer trash, which
is gender neutral. If she were male with the same "life story", the same attention would be paid. She is being given a pass to some extent BECAUSE she is a good lookin' gal.

It can be argued that reverse sexism was a work in her selection - a male with the same story and "resume'" would not have been chosen.

23. Both a facilitator and a victim of sexism
The tabloid-style rumors about her over the last several days have an undeniably sexist character.

While supporting a philosophy that casts most women into a subservient role, she has managed to bring out the inner sexist in just about everyone.
