My take:
Palin - needed to look more likable. Hides out then becomes an attack dog. Sarcastic and not funny. No new ideas. Rude and disrespectful.
McCain - actually should have been the one attacking more. But was boring and disjointed. Only last 5-10 minutes had any moments, and they were recycled. Sounded like the old guard way too much.
Palin was better only because people weren't asleep.

John's speech was slightly better than Cindy's.
