I Didn't Watch McCain's Speech Last Night But It Doesn't Seem

2. It was a good speech by McCain's standards
Which means if Obama had a cold, a flu, and tuberculosis, and was both drunk and high, he would have done a better job.

3. I am a moderate
I thought it was a solid speech, not ground breaking, but far from falling flat

4. Bottom Line. The media just hates to criticize McCain
That speech was awful. They know it. But for some reason, they just refuse to really go after him. Even though he constantly whines like a 8 yr old about the media

6. It wasn't all that bad, but
Obama's set the bar to a new height, and McCondo doesn't come close.

7. It reminded me a little of Biden's speech ...
... it was fairly low-key and safe. In Biden's case, the campaign obviously wanted to establish a softer kinder Biden, but in McCain's case I think it was the only kind of speech he was capable. I mean, the guy is pretty old and obviously not in the best physical health, so they gave him the kind of speech he could best handle. It was not an inspiring speech, but it was competently delivered. (I did not watch the entire speech because I found it rather boring.)
