The excuse now making the rounds of the intertubes that she didn't say she sold it on ebay, she just said she put it on ebay is total bullshit.

If you need the lie spelled out to you:

She "got rid" of "that luxury jet" by "put(ting) it on eBay".

Palin lied. Outright lie. She did not get rid of that jet by putting it on eBay.

True facts about the jet that needs to be emphasized when discussed. She did not SELL it on Ebay. She did sell it BELOW COST to a DONOR. (She MAY have incurred double fees when she had to engage a broker after using Ebay to list (I haven't used Ebay in 10 years or so).)

The lie here, if any, is too thin to make anything of. Bigger lies may emerge, but I don't think we need to pull on unripened fruit and then stick it in a special ripening bag.

Hell, Biden's "What do you do when you can't explain eight years of failure?" is plenty of substance for today.

You hear Republican talking asses on the cable stations state triumphantly how Palin fired the chef from the Governor's mansion and fired the chauffeur. But the big, BIG REFORM, the one that Rush, McCain and the other asses are talking up, in fact the only real reform in her biography is the sale of this jet.

And now we find out she didn't actually sell it. She's not the dynamic, hands on, resourceful person that her carefully parsed speech misled her TV audience to believe. It took a broker to sell it. This is the big reformer and having a broker sell a plane at a loss is the big reform.
