The ONLY way that McCain can win... |
|
...is if we let him!
The truth is that McCain is very vulnerable, with not only Palin's record but his own, but he is BETTING that he can get away with repackaging himself as the Maverick of 2000 and that the general public won't find out the WHOLE TRUTH about him. He is betting that Americans will stay as ignorant as in past elections. This is the traditional Republican campaign strategy! Say anything to get elected, betting that the public won't find out the truth.
We need to be as aggressive as possible in this election, and don't let anything stop us or make us complacent by being overtly confident that we will win. Many of you guys before thought that this election would be a slam dunk but we should NEVER underestimate the Right Wing, these guys are cunning opportunists and are "come from behind" winners and quietly wait before pouncing with their full force, as you are seeing now. This is not going to be an easy election but it is winnable.

3. We need to make sure that we CAN vote |
|
Remember, part of the Republican strategy is to prevent us from voting and having our votes to be counted! We need organizations to monitor the polls and/or make sure that the polling places won't be sabotaged like they were back in 2004, as well as ones that will make sure that people won't be thrown off of the voting rolls. One huge advantage now is that we have many more Democratic Governors and State - Secretary of States, which means that its significantly harder for Republicans to do such tactics, but remember their cunning nature and they may not let that to stop them.

7. Democrats focused on the issues before and lost |
|
No, elections aren't won by head but by heart. Thats why McCain's image should be fair game and we must not let him get away with repackaging himself as a genuine maverick! In the meanwhile, Obama does himself have a genuine image that can have more people to vote for him.
I disagree about Palin, Palin can be used to scare away moderate voters from McCain and motivate the Democratic base. As REALLY damaging but solid information comes out on Palin, can be used to tie Palin with the theme of McCain's untrustworthy judgement.

9. Well, then we lose, because McCain Has A Compelling Bio |
|
On the issues we destroy them, which is why the GOP is trying to avoid the issues. If we also run away from the issues, we play into their hands. In 1992, Bill won with an its the economy stupid campaign that was focused on the issues.

4. The only way they can do it is by stealing it. |

Obama can walk outside and get a crowd of 250,000 people breaking all records and McSame's lucky to fill the convention never mind filling his little town hall meetings.

but I don't think I know what to look for to make sure the machine records the vote as I wanted. What should we look for exactly?

8. McCain can win by tearing down Obama |
|
and Obama can lose by returning to the defensive and failing to go after McCain and Palin with negative ads.
The've been squandered golden opportunities in this regard time and time again, and with their money advantage, there's really no excuse.
