Palin has peaked and her numbers will continue to drop until election day
No one knows much about her and people want to like someone who just takes the political stage so her numbers are quite good right now. People will now begin to take a closer look and I guarantee you they will NOT like what they see. The only thing she has going for her was a well delivered speech and her good looks but once people discover she is a bible thumping, power abusing, science hating, book banning, lying sack of shit, her numbers will begin to drop like a rock.

I predict in a month the nation will be discussing how her approval rating has sunk below 50% and that she is not inline with the values of most Americans.

She scares me 100 times more than McCain. She would be EXACTLY like Bush
which should light a fire under the Dem base like none other. If John McCain wins there is probably close to a 50% chance she could be president. That is so fucking scary!

5. She would be much worse than Bush
Bush doesn't give a crap about the religious rhetoric, and as such, he hasn't really pushed the religious fundamentalist agenda through.

14. look what they are teaching her:
they got their people up in Alaska covering every thing up.

spin, suppress, BS, lie, spin, executive privilege, strong arm, abuse of power

Alaska people with info should all be on a 'suicide' watch.

3. I believe you're right
especially if she doesn't start doing press conferences and interviews. She'll get her shot in the debates. She might be able to pick up some GOP talking points and not look that bad during the debates. But they won't offer her a good forum to rebut the many, many negatives stories that are circulating through the Internet. Only an interview on 60 Minutes or Larry King, for example, could allow her to do that and I don't think she'll submit to that. I think the Internet is much more influential than ever before. Those stories about abuse of wildlife, of abuse of power, of the bridge to nowhere, of the AIP, of her religious freakiness etc. etc. etc. are out there and being repeated and discussed, even by people who don't agree with them or deny them. She may not sink like a rock. I don't know. But I think she has peaked and can only go down in popularity, mainly because in her case there isn't anything there.

6. You're probably right, and McCain/Palin will still win. I hope I'm wrong, but
I fully expect McCain to be taking the oath of office on January 20. Two main reasons: A, the election will be stolen, either by him or more likely by GOP operatives without his knowledge, and no one will do anything about it, and B, the American electorate really is that fucking stupid.

I hope I'm wrong, but my hopes are not high.

8. So what are you doing to ensure it is not going to be stolen?
Have you contributed to any organizations that work to stop fraud? Do you know who to contact if you see suspicious activity when you go vote? If you do nothing then whose fault is it if the election gets stolen? Feeling the way you do should get you even more fired up to do something about it. You know what the stakes are stop complaining and do something. Anything. Canvass more, write more letters, talk to more peole.

These are not hard core politicos like us.

Results:

Five out of six already hate her with a passion. 3 of those 5 used the term "bitch" to describe her without prompting. Other words: "mean" "sarcastic" "rude" "irritating" "bad mom" "inexperienced" "phony" ... and others.

One out of six likes her and is excited. Words used were "tenacity" "reformer"..."no shrinking violet".
