a neighborhood yard sale! ok, granted, this is chicago, and a liberal part of town at that. but still, it was a YARD SALE. i was just plain freakin' mobbed by terrified people who can't wait to vote for obama.
i sold more buttons in 6 hours today than i did in either of the 2 weekend art fairs that i did this summer. and one of those was only a few blocks away from where i was today.
although i have about a hundred designs to choose from, it has been 90% obama. anything obama.
but really, today, it was just a feeding frenzy.

working on a couple new ones, as people were asking, asking, asking for picture ones. i mostly have had the obama o, and the one that looks like a red and blue donut. ones that are available for download on the website.

i just kinda sold these feeling like i was sorta cheating. but really, the campaign is just not putting them out, and people are dying for them, so......
i do mostly try to use the money to fuel my truck on road trips to iowa.

6. Yesterday I went to the Obama campaign HQ for Minnesota

to get a bumper sticker and a lawn sign. They didn't have any of either -- they had received a bunch the previous day and they got cleaned out immediately. The place was full of people who were not only trying to get signs and stickers and buttons, but were also signing up to volunteer. A feeding frenzy, definitely.

14. folks were signing up to go to iowa. maybe it was the truck.

this was at lisa and jim's. i parked the truck right on the corner there, and people liked that they were filling my tank.
we had at least a dozen people sign up for road trips. they definitely wanted to get involved.
