McCain giving money to obama campaign
...he strongly endorsed the Democratic ticket, and would donate a portion of royalties he receives from the Republicans' airing of "Barracuda" to the campaign of Sen. Barack Obama.

"With my contribution to Obama's campaign, the Republicans are now supporting Obama," he said.

3. I'm curious about Van Halen... please tell me they don't support him.
Some of these other idiot musical "talents" who appear with and for the campaign, I can understand.

But Van Halen???

Anyone know about whether they're with us or with them?

4. They're with us.
Van Halen - Right Now

Van Halen management tells us the band had no idea McCain was planning on using "Right Now" during his big entrance in Ohio telling us, "Permission was not sought or granted nor would it have been given."

5. Kind of like how I (and probably most of us) inadvertantly donated to McCain
Since Obama declined to take public financing, the $3 that I checked off on my taxes is going to help McCain air slime against him, which kind of sucks. This makes me feel a little better.

8. I've never checked off that box on my tax forms.
I've always been too contrary. Now I'm really glad I didn't.

10. I would still check it off if I had it to do over again
Because I believe in public financing. It's about principle for me.

... a picture of Al Gore. I'll never forget it. He was as proud of meeting Al Gore as working on gold albums. In my opinion that's cool.
