Sarah Palin Is A Reality Show Contestant.
Edited on Sun Sep-07-08 08:03 AM by VolcanoJen
"Who Wants To Be America's Next Insult Comic?"

"Who Wants To Be America's Next Commander-in-Chief?"

It really is quite staggering, isn't it?

But... don't overestimate the crazy. I mean, it's loud, and it is crazy. But shouting us down and being louder is part of the strategy... bending reality works... in the short-term. We are certainly a nation of Idiocracy and Short Attention Spans, so don't expect "us" to be able to buy this crock of shit for sixty f'n days. Time to stop flipping out and overestimating these asshats.

I'm not convinced this is the year to pull this crap. It's a cynical gamble, betting that what worked in 1972 and 1988 and 2000 and 2004 will work yet again. And you've got to focus your anger and white-hot pissed-off-ness into ACTION, the same way "Community Organizers' and civil rights leaders did.

Act locally. Organize. Register voters. And don't ever forget that our GROUND GAME is what made McDesperate make his McPick. He did it out of fear, and I think we have an advantage.

But only if we GET TO WORK and show these assrags what Community Organizers really do.

These people are f'n clown shoes and it's time to show them what's up. Prove them wrong. Get angry and ACT UPON IT. Focus. Patience. Get to work.

posted as orignal thread in response to this most excellent thread, because our adorable pissed-off fellow traveler DUer cryingshame asked me to, and nicely, mind you. ;-)

Edit: Wasn't it Barack Obama who told us his damned self that "They will only grow louder and more dissonant" in his speech upon the New Hampshire loss? He said that in defeat, mind you. Buck Up, DUers. Buck Up. Revisit that speech, delivered in the cold of winter in defeat, and tell me this man doesn't have a plan for victory.

for 39 days - real time.

3. But we only get one chance to vote her sorry ass off. And we all know tv producers keep
the freaks from getting booted off for a while.

4. Bill Maher made a good point....
... the black guy is always the one who gets kicked off the reality show first. :-(

5. Is She Smarter Than A Fifth Grader?

If she is, she balances the ticket.

Edit: (Note to self, do not make spelling errors while snarking about dumb people.)

6. ROFL
What is a little frightening to me is that people I know and respect are being moved by her. They admire her as, like, Mom of the Year and think that maternal grit is what it's going to take to get this country back on track.

They literally do not need to know anything else about her. Women on the mommy track just think she's the cat's pajamas. :-(
