***DAY 10*** Without A Press Conference For Palin
It's been 10 days now without Palin meeting with the press. What is Palin afraid of? Why won't she meet with the press and address the many issues that need to be cleared up? Why dodge the press? When will Palin have a press conference, and I don't mean an interview on Fox or with Rush or Hannity? When will this self-styled leader be a leader and come completely clean through the media?

And now we learn she will be in hiding for 2 more weeks.

This is incredible, totally incredible. A vice presidential candidate isn't going to be available to the press for two weeks? Two weeks? In September. We have this total unknown who could be president of the United States next January. And she's in hiding for two weeks. Chris Matthews on this clip says that this is fine. Has he lost his mind? She needs to be in front of the press now. The United States and the world cannot have this total unknown foisted on the presidency without any serious vetting and without any press interaction. This is absolutely third world. Since when is the governor of a state given two weeks in hiding?

7. Give her a chance. She's being tutored by some foreign policy expert & that takes time
I can't wait to see how this tutor of hers miraculously transforms her into a foreign affairs expert. lol

2 weeks is nothing. I am immensely more qualified to be VP than her. A great many of us here at DU are too.

8. They will keep her away from anything but friendly press
This is the same M.O. that our state embarrassment Michele Bachmann uses--and she and Palin are cut from the same tattered cloth. Bachmann hasn't held a public meeting in her district since she was elected in 2006. She refuses to speak to anyone but friendly media, like Christian and thug radio. She refuses to acknowledge anyone who isn't 100% in agreement with her. I'm sure the GOP thinks if they can just get her through one lousy little debate with Biden without a major gaffe, they can keep her under wraps and on message sufficiently to let her skate home. Straight out of the Rove playbook.
