Captains of industry. Big business. People who can afford to work for $1 a year. It'll be their payback for funding to get him elected.

The part that really makes me sick is that he'll come right out and say it, and people will still vote for him.

2. The Three Stooges for a Cabinet
So we'd end up with a cabinet of Cindy McCain, Karl Rove and Todd Palin.

8. Todd Palin can't afford to work for $1 a year.
I was thinking more along the lines of Carly Fiorina, various oil executives, even disgraced mortgage giants.

3. It's definitely not the really smart people working at universities
for small potatoes. The cronies will be lined up 6 deep because they know the books and speeches after their terms are worth millions.

he's planning to fill his administration with undocumented workers. ;-)

5. Let's see: Angelo Mozilo (CountryWide) for HUD
Gonzales can come back as AG; I hear he's been unable to find other work

Palin with all her foreign policy experience can do double duty as Secy/State.

The son who just left failed Silver State Bank in NV as Treasury Secy.

Ugh. Just Ugh.

Oh yeah, just in case --

:sarcasm:

I was astonished that he came out and said it, right on television.

I thought, "You effing idiot! That's something a corporate candidate shouldn't say!"

His handlers have to be pulling their hair out.

Just like with bush.

21. Good point.
http://info.detnews.com/redesign/history/story/historytemplate.cfm?id=73
=================
Roosevelt named the National Defense Advisory Commission, with William Knudsen of General Motors as head of production planning. Knudsen exemplified the many industrialists, known as "Dollar a Year Men," serving in Washington as advisers for no pay. But perhaps there was an ulterior motive. Between June and December that year, 20 firms received 60 percent of the $11 billion dollars in defense contracts that were awarded. The Pentagon wanted to pay top dollar to the largest corporations to guarantee speed and reliability.

I had found that thread shortly after asking the question, and commented there.

I am on satellite tv for now, and don't get channels like abc, nbc, cbs, I don't see the talking heads anymore.

I'm a pretty gal and have a big heart. I'm disabled by MS though I'm now in a wheelchair or on government aid. I've been a political junkie all my life. An early supporter of Obama's I'm currently cyber campaigning for him and Biden. If Hillary had won the primaries I'd be fighting for her.
