What would Bullwinkel say? (Need help quickly!)
Folks, my wife is a great artist and she wants to do a sign that plays off Palin and her brutality towards moose (and people).

We came up with the idea to use Rocky and Bullwinkel, et. al. Problem is I'm TV-illiterate and can't think of the right thing to have Bullwinkej say (or any of the characters).

I haue laughed harder in the past week than I have in the past 8 years, mainly thanks to the oft-brilliant wit here. (Thanks for that, btw.)

So we need your help now.

What would Bullwinkel say?

1. I was thinking of
McCain as Rocky the tiny literate one
and Palin as the big dumb Bullwinkle moose.

35. I don't place much stock in de-constructing
humor, but fwiw, Bullwinkle is a universal positive icon.

Palin shoots moose; Bullwinkle is a moose; Palin shoots Bullwinkle.

There ought to be some possibilities there or I will eat my hat!

42. "Rocky as tiny literate one" .... I was too ...
... until I realized Rocky was the smart one, with some zip. Not exactly McCain.

I'm with someone else here, McCain/Palin should be represented as Boris/Natasha.

7. I'm more concerned with the arial shooting of wolves. I lived in Alaska, hunting is a way of life,
and it just makes liberals look stupid to make a fuss about it. Moose hunting is tightly controlled, with only a limited number of permits available each year. Just about everyone who lives in Alaska supplements their food supply with wild game. I literally would have had almost nothing to eat for my first winter in Alaska if it hadn't been for moose meat.

Go after her for killing the wolves -- the only reason they do it is to make more game available for the trophy hunters from Outside who pay big bucks to bag something with antlers. Trophy hunting disgusts me, but hunting to feed your family is something I will always defend.

11. Amen to everything you say--
as one who has killed eaten my share of venison & other game in my time.

Most of the old-time hunters I know don't even keep the antlers of any bucks they shoot, and certainly wouldn't have a head mounted. It's not about that. Personally, I have spent a quiet time giving thanks for every deer I have killed.

14. Hey! How're ya doing?
One of the things I miss most about Alaska (as opposed to all the things I DON'T miss, which is why I'm not there anymore) is moose meat. I love venison, but I LOVE moose.

And what you say is so true -- no subsistance hunter would ever have a head mounted. Ugh.

41. Hi, SW.
As always, I'm keeping one foot in local politics, but the forensic part of my private practice is super-busy. After leaving the State a couple of years ago, I've been pretty swamped by the local defense lawyers, and it's getting heavier. I do about 1 day a week of clinical work, & most f the rest is criminal forensic evals, court testimony, etc.

use humor (something Repukes seem to lack) to take them down a peg or two.

How's this?

Natasha: "Boris, you get helicopter. We shoot moose now!"

The pattern of their exchanges were usually kind of like this:

Bullwinkle: I think I'll talk to the nice lady, Rock.

ROCKY the Squirrel: I don't know if that's a good idea, Bullwinkle.

Rocky: Well, they don't call him Wrongway Peachfuzz for nothing!
Bullwinkle: You mean they gotta pay?
Bullwinkle: Well this is a pickle...actually its more of a kumquat.

Bullwinkle: Hey Rocky, watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat.
Rocky: Again?
Bullwinkle: Presto!
Lion: ROAR!!!
Bullwinkle: Oops, wrong hat.

Rocky: Do you know what an A-bomb is?
Bullwinkle: Certainly. A bomb is what some people call our show.

Rocky: There has already been two attempts on your life.
Bullwinkle: Don't worry, we'll be renewed.

Rocky: And now, for all your seniors who are just about to graduate, here are some words of wisdom from Mr. Know-It-All.

Bullwinkle: You just leave that to my pal. He's the brains of the outfit.
General: What does that make you ?
Bullwinkle: What else? An executive..

Rocky: Gee, an unhappy ending.

Bullwinkle: Humble, that's me... Mr. Modesty. When it comes to humility, I'm the greatest.

Rocky: Hey Bullwinkle, we're in real trouble now!
Bullwinkle: Oh good, Rocky! I hate that artificial kind!

Boris: Aw, shut up your mouth!

Bullwinkle: Well, if you can't believe what you read in a comic book, what can you believe?

Natasha: Hello dollink.

Fearless Leader: What does Pottsylvania have more than any other country? Mean! We have more mean than any other country in Europe! We must export mean.

Rocky: Well Bullwinkle, I hear the scenery's nice and there are plenty of nuts.

Bullwinkle: Wasilla, Alaska! Aren't there Barracudas there?

Rocky: Don't worry about the fish. It's the Governor we need to keep our eye on!
