David Gergen just said Obama is now in the position Hillary was in- |
|
He said Obama feels like he deserves this nomination but now Palin came out of nowhere and he didn't expect it, and he's thrown off his game. PLEASE! Hillary didn't expect that someone would be able to run a better campaign and beat her. Obama EARNED his win. Palin was picked by McCain and has given one speech over and over and is liked by conservatives. Period. Things are coming out about her already. She's no Obama and to say so is insulting to Obama and everything he has accomplished!

Although I don't fully agree with him on this...although Palin did come out of nowhere.

9. Obama didn't come out of nowhere, though. He started right at the beginning with |

Hillary. She underestimated him, but she knew he was there.

Conservatives are reactionaries who hate women. It will scatter their base.

14. True but my point is that SHE, unlike OBAMA, didn't get to where she is today |
|
because of hard work that Obama didn't anticipate. She just got picked by McCain's base.

I don't underestimate the GOP wingnuts and their chicanery. But ENOUGH. Not this time. There is way too much momentum behind Barack.

7. Gergen thinks he has all of the answers..... |
|
which is why he works on CNN as a commentator, and will not leave a mark in the history books.
Gergen forgets that Obama is right on the issues....so Gergen is playing the Character game, while Obama is laserbeamed on the issues.

13. I know Gergen's a repub |
|
but he did work for Clinton and he makes sense to me. Am I being gullible? Not necessarily about this remark but other stuff.
I do think Obama should be talking about the economy. Just in the past week, what have we heard?
1) higher unemployment rate than expected 2) highest suicide rate among troops since Vietnam 3) biggest deficit ever 4) frannie freddie bailout
repeat repeat repeat connect the dots what does mccain have to offer that's different than the horror that has been inflicted by bush? he wants to continue the same policies that have gotten us into this in the first place
of course there is the problem of having the media cover it since they're more interested in creating a soap opera with Palin

7-9 days, Obama will have the current situation stabilized.

She almost pulled it out in the end. Obama can use this to his advantage. America LOVES an underdog.
