The McCain camp (Rove, specifically) is up to its normal SOP (which works EVERY TIME) - they take something that has been said completely out of context and then demand an apology. They make sure that it hits the opposing candidate right where it hurts - in Kerry's case, the comment about "getting stuck in Iraq" is turned around to make it look like he's dissing on soldiers when he is about as big a friend as any soldier could hope to have in the Senate.

In Obama's case, it is of course the fact that Obama is BLACK! OMG a black man is insulting a white woman. (One that you think is really a babe, too!) Doesn't that just make you want to go out and lynch him? Well you can't, but you can sure get your voter card updated there and make sure your drinkin' buddies do the same!
