McCain 44 Obama 39 (17 undecided)

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- New polling from Mark Blankenship Enterprises shows the John McCain/Sarah Palin Republican presidential ticket has a 5% lead over the Barack Obama/Joe Biden Democratic presidential ticket in West Virginia.

A poll of 432 registered and likely voters taken over this last weekend shows McCain/Palin with 44% support compared to 39% support for Obama/Biden. 17% of voters are undecided.

MBE points out that 27% of those undecided voters define themselves as Independents. So far, McCain is grabbing a majority of those Independent voters in West Virginia.

While I don't think WV will come into play, it may force McCain to spend money there.

1. Ouchies for Mccain: Clinton voters coming home for Obama
The internals at Camp Mccain must look horrible, which starts to explain Mccain's big mistake on Pig Flap 08.

2. My first reaction to this news:
Have the Clintons camp-out in Ohio and West Virginia between now and November.

9. Biden can help with PA and Fl, Hillary with Ohio and Virgina, maybe West Virgina
I think this is a telling sign that some are going to reject McPhalin.

3. How in the name of Hilter's radioactive ghost can 17% be undecided?
How in the name of Hilter's radioactive ghost can 17% be undecided?

I mean 1%, 2%, hell even 5% I can understand (most people are lazy and aren't willing to spend 1 hour researching the candidates).

17%? WTF. I have more respect for the McCain voters than the 17% who can't decide after the longest primary every, defacto nominees for couple months, both conventions, both vp picks, and first two weeks of GE.

8. 17% are undecided everywhere. Most polls push for an answer, some don't.
This poll obviously doesn't force people to say which way they are leaning.
