What Obama camp should do imho: t.v. spot saying "Where is John McCain?"
Edited on Wed Sep-10-08 05:02 PM by anneboleyn
I am new, though I've been here to read posts many times. I am not a troll, just new to the posting.

I have an idea for a new t.v. spot -- accuse McCain of hiding behind Palin, maybe with some funny music and graphics (like Where is Waldo) Say that McCain's hiding and avoiding the press reflects his attitude towards the country and policy -- ask who is running for president and does the behavior seem very presidential? Say that it shows that he has no new ideas, just gimmicks.

Just a thought, since it is obvious that the McCain camp has put out Palin to act as a distraction from McCain himself. If he is called on it directly, it would be harder for him to continue his campaign in this way.

Would this work? Good idea?

It bothers me that so much attention continues to be directed at Palin, since she really is a red herring (or a lipsticked pit bull, or whatever...)

3. I watched
The rally this morning with Palin and McCain. It was on CNN, and before them they had Obama on for about 20 minutes or so. Then they went live to Palin talking at the rally. She talked for maybe 15 to 20 minutes, then turned it over to McCain. They had him live for maybe 5 minutes, then went back to regular news. This seems to be happening at all the rallies. Palin does most of the talking, and McCain stands there smiling, twisting his ring or hands, waving, frowning at times, and looking like as someone on DU already said, the organ grinders monkey! When the new wears off of Palin, it's going to take them down big time. Palin has the same speech over and over and over and over...! Even the zombie republicans have to get tired of this sometime, don't they????

4. Clever but distracts from the real issues
Ha, that's pretty funny...but again, I think it would feed into the Republicans' strategy of "weapons of mass distraction".

I have heard McPain's speeches so many times, at every campaign stop, I could do them myself. One-friggin'-trick ponies. OOPS, I was NOT calling Palin a pony or McCain a trick!
