3. No, that's not what he reportetly said.....
he said that the McCain economic policies were the pig......

He also prequalified it by saying...... if you were to take that whole saying to its logical stretch...or something like that.

4. Actually in context he said, if it wasn't about McSame economic policy, then McC=Pig Palin=Lipstick.

6. See, this is why Obama is so smart
He knows that the issues don't actually win the election. Stupid shit like this wins the election when it's so close. The Republicans can either realize that this is a losing battle for them and shut up about it or take the bait and waste another day (or more) on increasingly ridiculous indignation over lipstick. The subject is already threatening to turn to McCain's lack of respect for women.

7. If he was smart...
He'd have McSame answering for his comments and put him and Palin on the defensive.

He's fighting their war their way!

He needs to shift tactics and throw them off!

Make them apologize for their comments (which they seem to be getting away with for now).

9. "IF". "IF". "IF the analogy had been about Palin"
Operative word. Hypothetical. He's clear that it was about McCain's policies, but "IF" it involved Palin, she would have been the "lipstick" on the McCain campaign, the "pig".
