Most Americans understand in visceral way that we were lied into a war, and that the consequences were catastrophic. A national feeling of resentment is a BIG reason Bush is so extremely and so widely disliked. McCain and Palin have embarked on a path of reckless lying. And they're clearly not going to back off. But it's also becoming increasingly clear that the media is NOT going to stop pointing out that those two are liars. We are finally seeing the media begin to use that dreaded, dreaded word: "LIES".

If John McCain wants to make this a campaign about character, that is a discussion we are ready to have.
