4. yes, and it was not as earth-shattering as hoped, but she was accurate
in saying it was about macsame and prescription drugs.

5. Not to call her out in an "attack". Just honest curiosity.
She really got the place buzzed.

Oh well...

8. well, sorry, I"m just amazed at others who have been attacking her
(not you). I don't get it, since her information was CORRECT.
If she had brought it up and been WRONG, then maybe some of it would have been valid.

The problem is not that what she hinted at was incorrrect, the problem is that it didn't meet the bar of being game-changing in the election, which, as far as I can tell, lonestarnot never claimed it was.

I too was disappointed it wasn't as horrific as my wishful thinking imagined, but oh well...

6. Well, supposedly there is a whistleblower guy out now...
But I don't think it's hit the mainstream media yet, much...

Could still be a big problem if the media visits it a few times...

Did McCain Tamper with the Drug Enforcement Agency to Protect His Career?

A whistleblower is coming forth against John and Cindy McCain, and the picture he is painting is not a pretty one. You've probably heard about Cindy McCain stealing prescription drugs from her charity in the 1990s. Today, Tom Gosinski, her former employee and a close friend of the McCain's, came out on the record about the entire sordid episode. And it appears that McCain used his Senate staff and resources to cover up Cindy's drug use, and potentially to prevent the Drug Enforcement Agency from investigating his wife's theft of illegal prescription drugs. John McCain certainly used his political connections to begin a campaign of intimidation against Gosinski, because at the time - this was after the Keating 5 scandal - another major scandal would have derailed his career. Gosinski stayed quiet out of fear until today; a recent fight with cancer has strengthened his resolve. As he told me today, if he can beat cancer, he can go on the record regarding how the McCain's do business.

12. Not sure how we would know, but I'm guessing not yet. 9/11 is not the best news dump day.
OTOH, A Friday isn't any better.

I say this, because I believe she said the story RX drugs dealt with McCain ONLY.

drop their investigation. That it never was properly investigated back then (not the drug abuse, but McCain's stifling of the investigation and the charges).

Not sure it will get any traction with the media. If it were Obama or another Democrat it certainly would.

15. If that's the case, it's not going to get any traction the next few days-
because of the timing. Not today, not tomorrow (a Friday) and we all know the weekend will spend all it's time on the campaign trail rhetoric and the McCain ad knife fights. By Monday it's most likely rigor mortis.
