2. Why are they smiling? Because Barack just told Bill that he's the next UN Ambassador

...and Bill just told Barack how to effectively take down McCain.

11. I think President Clinton would be an excellent choice.
In spite of the fact that Bill ticks me off sometimes I really hope these two can put their differences aside and work together. President Clinton has so much to offer in terms of foreign policy. He would be the perfect choice to help mend the fences that the ding-a-ling in DC has smashed.

30. Wouldn't Clinton prefer Africa?
He has a pretty big operation there already and spends some time there.

34. He might indeed.
His work is so important there. Generally speaking he's a great ambassador for the U. S. no matter where he goes.

and yet very open and approachable.

He'll make an amazing president.

Relaxed. Open. Accepting. He's finally over his hurt feelings, and not a moment too soon. Most excellent.

25. More than that -- they're mirroring each other
I only know a little about interpreting relationships from the body language in photos -- but I do know that when two people mirror each other, as in pic #1, or have the same facial expressions, as in #3, it means they're resonating on an instinctual level.

I don't see any signs of tension or resistance in these pictures -- it suggests to me they're both on the same wavelength and committed to working together. And that's a very good thing.

Both, standing side by side at official events, state funerals and such...the former Presidents, 42 and 44. 43 will be doing time at gitmo.

37. The truth is Bill and Barack are natural allies
They're the two most charismatic, dynamic and talented politicians the Democrats have had in decades. And they're also two of the smartest -- each of them is often the smartest guy in the room.

They both ran (and are running) presidential campaigns based on being progressive and forward-looking. Both fought at the presidential level while quite young.

Now, obviously there are differences. Bill is much more aggressive, extroverted and in terms of political gifts, he's better able to connect one-on-one. He's also a more consistent campaigner. Obama is much more cerebral, introverted and a bit more uneven on the stump. Obama's a little more innately cautious, even while being somewhat more progressive. Clinton's more of a risk-taker and is also a little more undisciplined.

But there's a lot that unites them, and it's a shame the primary season had to turn their relations so sour. Hopefully this meeting is a sign of good things to come.
