McCain: "she knows more about energy than probably anyone else in the US" ..video clip also
Edited on Thu Sep-11-08 01:02 PM by RedEarth
"Well, you say you're sure she has the experience, but again, I'm just asking for an example," Caldwell said. "What experience does she have in the field of national security?" McCain responded:

"Energy. She knows more about energy than probably anyone else in the United States of America. She's a governor of a state where 20% of America's energy supply comes from there. And we all know that energy is a critical and vital national security issue. We've got to stop sending $700 billion of American money to countries that don't like us very much. She's very well versed on that issue.

"And, uh, she also happens to represent, be governor of a state that's right next to Russia. She understands Russia."

video.........

McCain finally answers some questions -- or tries to answer some questions. He's terrible.

NOTE FROM JOHN: Watch McCain about a minute and a half into the tape, when he's asked what National Security credentials Sarah Palin has. He replies "energy." The reporter goes, no, I asked you about national security. McCain then says that Alaska is close to Russia. They're amazing.

Watch this interview of John McCain on WCSH in Portland, Maine. McCain is clueless. Clueless about his v.p. No wonder the McCain campaign doesn't want McCain answering questions. He can't.

2. More proof that the debates may be the deciding factor in this election
McCain can't stand up to pressure or think on his feet. He's horrible enunciating his positions and is the most disingenuous public figure I have ever seen. To think they will put him up against Obama who is a master at this is really almost absurd. This Presidential debates are going to be a major - maybe THE - factor that decides this race.

On the flip-side, at this point all Palin has to do is show up with a smile and she'll be declared the winner by default. Unless Biden makes it memorable (a la Bentsen 88), this could be a major weakness for us.

4. Sarah Palin has magical intuitive powers
All she has to do is touch something or be physically close to something, like an oil field or an entire country, to know everything about it. She must have a mind that is overflowing with knowledge. Maybe she was raised among the Elves.

6. I just posted a link to that video at WCSG....really amazing that he can make a whopper like that.
Can you imagine Obama saying Joe Biden probably knows more about particle physics than anyone else in the United States?

Are we supposed to take this Republican campaign seriously?

7. i'd like to ask her how many watts equal a horsepower.
I'd like to ask her how many watts it takes to lift 3000 pounds a foot high. I'd like to ask her what percent efficiency are some of the latest tech diesel engines. I'd like to ask her how many watts fall on a square meter of Ca. desert soil on a sunny day in mid-June.

9. McCain's remarks are stupid beyond all belief.
Obama and Bidden should be elected by acclamation. How could anyone in their right mind consider voting for McCain and Palin?

10. If that's true, then why didn't Prick Cheney include her in his "energy task force" meetings?
