A proactive Plan for the Palin Infomercial that airs this week.
At least initially, Charlie Gibson's hand-holding session is going to sting Obama supporters, unless old Charlie's able both to avoid Medusa's dimples and grow a set of journalism nuts. Chances aren't good. Therefore, I suggest we plan now for the inevitable media frenzy of good will and gift-giving that surely will accompany and follow the Trojan Moose's free air time.

Unless I'm missing the likely outcome here, the media will be praising her courageous first interview and delighting in how good her farts smell. On this there is no "yes, but" response. No "yes, she seems nice enough but...."

IMHO, we must:

1. debunk the old lies yet again. "Palin is a proven liar, and she was at it again" might be a nice lead.
2. focus on McHundred's age without focusing on it and by expressing concern for the country. "I wish her experience as a mayor mattered, but I think we'd all be worried about her taking over the country after something happens to John McCain."
3. represent the critical thinkers of America by framing the debate critically. If her disingenous talking points and manufactured bio don't resonate with you, remind everyone that you "didn't believe a word she said." Make it obvious by your tone that it's an open and shut case. There's no need for facts. We aren't flipping their base; we're trying to reach low-info indies who vote with their "gut." Feel free to tell indies you've decided with your gut.
4. get ready for reversals, contradictions, and new lies. They simply can't let her be too forthright, or they're effed. Prepare to make use of new fodder.
5. meme it as "The Interview to Nowhere." This interview is a political catastrophe for her and McCain, no matter how she does. An absolute catastrophe. With no qualifications. A total trainwreck. No. Matter. What.
6. remind people she's scary. "A lot of what she said would've been easier to swallow if she wasn't such an extremist."
7. use her steadfast love for Todd as conclusive evidence to her ties to the AIP terrorists.
8. borrow and amend the best recent line of counterattack from Obama: "She must think we're stupid enough to believe that stuff" and then toss in factoids about earmarks, corruption, and investigations.
9. act amused by how little people care about John McCain nowadays.
10. most importantly: if you post here about the interview, post with updated email links to media outlets and reminders to blast 'em. Also helpful, links to youtube clips of the incriminating and unflattering bits, as well as templates for email responses and for LTTEs. Not that helpful: blasting Palin here only for the sake of blasting Palin. You'd be preaching to the choir. Post your Palin blasts where indies read posts...MSM message boards, chain emails, etc.
11. remind people that she's also scary because she won't tell us what she really thinks about any major policy questions; congratulate the McCain Camp for teaching her their talking points, but ask why she can't come up with any actual facts about policy, instead of just made up shit
12. don't sweat the likely poll bounce that'll come from making her seem less scary after Charlie's candlelit dinner with her. It'll take a few days for the lies to sink in as lies, for the moments of obviously feigned feeling to be exposed to low-info voters, and for people to remember again she's a moose in pig's lipstick.

Enjoy the Interview to Nowhere.
