Re: President Bill Clinton
Edited on Thu Sep-11-08 05:18 PM by kpete
Hearing from Republicans ALOT today,
that the best thing Obama can do after today's meeting is to keep "Him" quiet.

I say - call their bluff

THEY ARE TERRIFIED OF HIM (and her too)

I want President Clinton out there.

We heard this before - we were wrong -
we did not win by a big enough margin either time (I know we did NOT lose).

I say "Come On Out" Bubba the water is warm and bring your momma with you.

The more the Re-pubs say this is a bad idea -
the more I think - it is EXACTLY what and who this campaign needs.

Will he behave, Of course not - but nobody is behaving, nobody ever does in an election.

This is a fight to the death for many of us.

If they can use a barracuda, we can use a shark!!!

so, again, mho, kp

1. We need him and we need Hillary too
There are roles for the FIGHTERS in our party to play. Obama
may have to float above all this and practice the "new kind of
politics" but he needs the linebackers to push back for him
while he does. Biden has shown some grit lately, and we need
BOTH CLINTONS to get out there and kick some Rethug ass!!!

3. You assume that shark has an honorable agenda. After the way he supported and defended Bush in 2004
Edited on Thu Sep-11-08 05:20 PM by blm
throughout his June-July book tour and defending him from the very criticisms of his terrorism and Iraq war decisions that Kerry was launching at the time, I highly DISTRUST his ACTUAL agenda for this election. He WANTS to be seen as the Dem's savior, when he has been in fact, one of the architects of its downfall in the past. he needs Dem party to look to him as a NEED, no different than Bushes convinced the GOP that they NEED the Bushes.

TO WIN with a large enough margin to beat these cheaters!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am sorry, i just do not think the world can survive more of the same.

I have tried to stay above the fray.

Now, I have become what I hoped I never would become - a win at ANY cost citizen.

I have learned that winning is not enough - we have to slaughter their asses.

I am getting too old to wait much longer.

My idealism is waning.

We need help!

peace, kp

5. After seeing his reception at the Democratic convention last month, it is clear to me
that Bill is still popular with Democrats and I believe that his campaign appearances will advance unity within the party. That has to work to our advantage.

12. I think Bill needed and deserved some time off. I worry about his
health. I know that nothing has happened to make me worry. But still. I want him healthy and happy, not stressed out. Silly, huh? My father had heart problems and I guess it scares me more than other people because of that.

But now he's had time to refresh body and mind. And wow, what a wonderful reception he got at our convention. It brought tears to my eyes and you could tell that he was affected by it. Nobody would have sat down if he hadn't told them to over and over again.

So I think that they're playing it just right for many reasons. We want Bill's efforts to really count for something and in these last days of the campaign they will.

And by the way,

I'm in a huggy mood. Sorry. :)

9. Whatever the right wingers tell Dems to do, they should do the opposite.
Democratic politicians fall for this trick every time.

16. It'll work for sure.
The only reason it didn't work when he did it for Hillary was that it didn't look or feel good to have a fellow Democrat come out against his own party member like that. Turned off a good bit of folks. We won't have that problem now.

18. Bingo!!! That is why the 2000
election was close enough for them to steal. If Al Gore had not distanced himself from Bill Clinton, the last eight years would not have happened.

20. Baloney - if Clinton hadn't deep-sixed BCCI matters for Poppy, Bushes would be in jail not running
for office. And if Clinton hadn't given in to his crotch, it wouldn't have been close.

Blaming Gore is STUPID - Clinton was losing states for us since 1994 because he only used DNC for his own needs and let the national party infrastructure collapse in too many states they decided the party no longer could compete. Florida and Ohio were two of the states Clinton-era DNC decided to write off and let the RNC take over with no counter from the DNC.
