Palin won't be giving anymore interviews other than on Foxnews after Charlie
Charlie was light on her and she still messed up. She'll be giving stump speeches and fundraisers and thats it. If it would have been any other reporter than Charlie or Larry King she will be exposed as a total idiot. You can't learn international affairs, economics, and law in a day. She can get James Baker, Alan Greenspan, and Scalia to brief her before interviews for a week and she'll still screw it up. The biggest reason she's not interested in that stuff. She's interested in the office and the power but not the details and helping her country. "What does the Vice President do all day?" Was the most revealing thing she's said.

The only thing she's good for is rallying the base and picking up the few stupid women who want a woman President over wanting Women's rights. As long as they keep her in the closet they don't risk turning off moderates. I don't think it will work because the media will clamor for PALIN PALIN PALIN and will report on all her scandals. The media is self absorbed ass clowns and without giving them access they will feel betrayed espicially by McCain who made his way by courting them.

2. Embarrassing. No wonder the handlers are keeping her
away from the media. She's not very smart - babbles. Let her talk, let her talk herself into circles.

5. The problem is there is blood in the water now
the old school journalist can't let her get away with it and the younger ones might see a chance to make a career out of taking her down. Once there is blood they feed.

14. Plenty of food for everyone then
She looked as nervous as someone on the first job interview of their life.

17. She isn't going to get better
In Alaska Govenor's race the questions will be the same...in a Presidential race the questions are too varied to cram for and reporters aren't going to ask the same question twice.

19. You're right and I don't see any evidence in her resume that
she has any knowledge of history, economics, foreign policy, etc. I'm sure she is only aware of bills that are passed that relate to Alaska. Fortunately, the majority of the population doesn't care about Alaskan issues too much.

20. "When I was govenor of Alaska"
Edited on Thu Sep-11-08 06:46 PM by Jake3463
Is going to get old after a while. States like Ohio, MI, and PA have several cities a piece that are bigger than the entire population of Alaska and 18 months isn't enough to have accomplishments to brag about...she can reach back to Wassilla but that isn't going to come out right.

9. Prediction
They can't drop her and admit McCain made a mistake and his campaign is all about experience. They can't risk her saying dumb things and than having to spend entire media cycles spinning them as what she meant. The base will vote for a rock if it says it will keep all guns legal, ban abortion, and ban gay marriage. The middle won't risk another idiot being elected after the last 4 years.

6. good
then she won't get any more real practice before facing down Biden.

No way you can cram for this. Too much material, very complex topics and concepts that aren't conducive to simple memorization.

12. Yeah that's going to be bad as long as Biden can control himself
All Biden's job is to look like a President and question stupid statements for explanation. His job isn't to destroy her. Let her destroy herself.

11. Accurate prediction. The McCain campaign will also probably try
to spin this as ABC being mean to her to cover for the fact that she is a lightweight and will crumble under a little pressure.
