Now for an explanation.

This is all about an email response to an unabashedly fundamentalist Bush supporter who had told me she was going to cross over and vote for Hillary -- "because she's smart and because it's about time we had a woman president."

Yes, she's a PUMA.

I sent everyone on my list the video of McCain's lies (_see it here_) and this was her reply:

"Funny how hot and heavy the campaign is going since Sara came on the scene. (It takes a woman...)"

Naturally, I wanted to give more than just a knee-jerk, smart-assed response, which is why I asked for your help.

Here's the final product:

Funny how all the Republicans can't stick to the subject, keep shifting the focus away from their lies and crimes, and then claim this election "isn't about the issues."

Elections always heat up right after the conventions, because that's the official kickoff. This is the last half of the final quarter, so everyone starts pouring on the juice.

Only the Republicans need more distractions because they've got NOTHING to offer. Hence the calculated, controlled roll-out of their little fireball of a female -- their very tainted, corrupt, anti-woman woman.

If you like little Sarah just because she's got ovaries, I submit that Sarah Palin is to women's rights as Michael Vick is to animal welfare, as Terminix is to fleas, as Exxon is to the environment, and as the Ku Klux Klan is to human equality.

And John McCain and Sarah Palin are BOTH proven liars.

I wish I could have used all of your suggestions, but felt too long a list would be counterproductive for this purpose.
