Obama had an excellent interview on service tonight |

I watched the interview of Obama on service tonight. I saw only part of McCain's.
Obama did a Wonderful (with a capital "W") job! He was well received, and I personally just thought his answers were way up there with the best answers given by presidential candidates that I've ever heard. He has REALLY given the issue of service some serious thought and worked out ways to encourage citizens to enter service areas of different kinds. He also made the key point that to "inspire" citizens is one of the jobs of a President (you know how the opposition makes fun of his "inspirational" speeches as being pretty but useless in government, etc.). I have been saying to my friends all along that while it's not the ONLY thing I want in a President, and may not even be the most important thing I want to see in a leader, the ability to inspire is a gift and is a necessary trait in leaders. Obama has that gift.
But he's not just words. Anyone on the other side who underestimates his political shrewdness does so at their own peril. This is not just a nice guy used-to-be-a-community-organizer who fell into politics. This man knows what he is doing, as do the people he has surrounded himself with. He's ready, and he's going to win. And Biden, too.
It's about time we had a team in the White House who actually KNOW a thing or two and know how to get things done, and will actually do what they think is best for the country, not just for themselves and their cronies.
President Obama. Vice President Biden. Those words have a nice ring to them.

Who agonize about how they're going to send their kids to college. I am a single mom with a college freshman (by virtue of a miracle) and another in high school.
We're still working on how next semester is going to happen.
Believe me....he's hitting the right notes.
