Why the hell wouldn't we "second-guess" Israel? WTF?
We should second-guess everyone, including ourselves. Palin just said that were she president, Israel would be green-lighted by this country to do whatever it chooses. Want to put a barricade all the way around Gaza and deny the families living there food and water---starve them all to death, even the children---and, it's OK with us. Want to start a nuclear war in the middle-east by nuking Iran--go right ahead, we'll be with you all the way.

The framers of our Consitution set up a government based on "second-guessing." It's call "checks and balances" where each of the three branches of government second-guesses the other two branches, so that none of them abuse their power. WE SECOND-GUESS OURSELVES! And, it's a damned good thing that we do. (At least that's what we're supposed to do--don't get me started on Congress' abdication of that responsibility with their lack of real oversight of the Executive Branch).

Yes, we've seen what happens when we don't second-guess ourselves. The executive and Republican-controlled Congresses abused their power, and we see where we are.

The fact that Palin said that we shouldn't second-guess Israel is outrageous. She should be disqualified from office on that statement alone.

2. No no no you can't second guess ISRAEL
It's key to the apocalypse. Gotta keep it in play and support it so it can play its role. Then, once the fundies get hoovered up in the rapture, it's every Israeli for himself. Good luck with that!
:sarcasm:

3. I agree. I found this response to be very troubling, more so than any other comment.
Ant attack by anyone should be questioned. To give carte blanche to any action by Israel, as Palin stated sets a dangerous precedent and basically tells the Middle East that any diplomacy with them is fraudulent.

4. No way, we should blindly follow Isreal no matter what they do.
Isreal needs to take the lead of the US, not the other way around. We are their patron.

6. This is troubling PRECISELY because of her evangelical, "end times" beliefs.
