AB Stoddard: "Unlike Barack Obama and Joe Biden and John McCain and their tassled loafers...
and their long years in government, this is somebody who is just like them." Stoddard was talking about why women, including Dems. and Independents, are "flocking to Palin." And she doesn't see it changing. :eyes:

1. AND she's basing her crap-rap...
on a 5-day-old poll. She's losing her credibility. And Schuster should know better than to use an old poll.

6. The real polling must be showing...
a huge drop-off for McCain - considering the Wall Street stumble and the Palin shine wearing off. Hell, that's even before the Gibson interviews.

13. Chuck Nice from VH1's Best Week ever was on MSNBC yesterday
making fun of the narrative, saying "Oh yes, women will vote for her because she is so RELATABLE! Because I know that every woman can relate to skinning their own moose!"

4. I was listening to Brent Budowsky(sp) on Randi Rhodes Show
He works at the Hill with Stoddard and he just commented on her appearance on MSNBC. He said he hates to say anything against a colleague but he was disappointed that she focused on women supposedly flocking to Palin when she should be talking about the financial crisis.

He said the financial crisis is the most important issue today.

26. Exactly -- this is a thin ruse. She wears very expensive suits, heels, and piles of pricey makeup
in addition to being into relatively elitist hobbies. The whole "I am just like you" gimmick won't fool most women. I don't buy the numbers. They just seem too preposterous.

I am a girly girl and I love makeup and so on, but I am not like Palin and would not vote for her because she wears lip gloss! I mean, puhhleeeze. Women are not being any credit for being able to figure out issues rather than this fluff nonsense about being "like" Palin.

15. Time for the women's rights 527s to enlighten some of these women
who apparently think that all mothers of five who also happen to hold a job must want the same things for all women that they do.

I don't think some of them will be thrilled with a woman who wants other women to bear their rapist's child...

...or cut funding to help unwed mothers (like her own daughter)

...or made rape victims pay for their own rape kits

...or fired a police chief for a personal vendetta and replaced him with a sexual harrasser

And is it any coincidence that they use the term "flocking" - as in a bunch of sheep?

19. One week before Iowa, Stoddard said Obama couldn't win because of Hillary's "flawless" campaign
Edited on Tue Sep-16-08 04:30 PM by ClarkUSA
We all know how that turned out.

Stoddard has never had a good thing to say about Obama. She's an ill-disguised McCain supporter who rooted for Hillary to win
the primaries the whole way. When Obama won, she worked overtime to belittle his efforts and prop up McCain.

24. Who the hell is "AB Stoddard"? And why the HELL would she insult women that way??
We're not FUCKING stupid! Just because we have the same anatomy, does not make us automatically flock to a female.

Yeah.. she's a mother. Well, Susan Smith was a mother, too -- as grotesque as that sounds -- we do not automatically give anyone a pass because they gave birth. Yeah.. many of us give birth and don't wear loafers.

Next.

31. Exactly! Check out my idea for an ad for this:
An idea for an ad: "WAKE UP!"

Have a couple watching McCain standing next to Palin who's giving her stump speech. The woman says to her husband, "I LIKE that woman. She reminds me of myself." Then switch to the same woman getting a call from the Sec. of Def. or someone similar. She doesn't understand what's going on but the voice on the other end says, "The president is unavailable so I need YOU to tell me what to do..." She looks confused after hearing the voice go on saying something we can't quite make out. Suddenly, she sits up in bed scared, realizing she'd been dreaming. Then a voice says, "WAKE UP before HER nightmare becomes OUR reality."

Just an idea.

29. Everytime I see this thread title pop up...
Mr. Burn's song "See My Vest" keeps popping up in my head.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eelYogcLTqM

...some men hunt for sport,
Others hunt for food.
The only thing I'm hunting for
Is an outfit that looks good.
See my vest, see my vest,
Made from real gorilla chest.
Feel this sweater, there's no better
Than authentic Irish Setter.
See this hat, 'twas my cat.
My evening wear, vampire bat.
These white slippers are albino
African endangered rhino.
Grizzly bear underwear,
Turtle necks I've got my share.
Beret of poodle on my noodle it shall rest
Try my red robin suit,
It comes one breast or two...
See my vest, See my vest, See my vest.
Like my loafers, former gophers,
It was that or skin my chauffeurs,
But a greyhound fur tuxedo would be best...
So let's prepare these dogs,
Kill two for matching clogs!
See my vest!
See me vest!
Oh, please, won't you see my veeeeeesst!

(Dialog)
Mr Burns: I really like the vest!
Smithers: I gathered that...
Lisa: (gasps) He's gonna make a tuxedo out of our puppies!
Bart: (hums the tune of the song) Na-na-na, na-na-na, na-na-naaa...
Lisa: Bart!
Bart: Sorry. You gotta admit, it's catchy.
