They've already been posted and, bet on it, copied and secured. Any juicy ones will be all over the web.

2. How about a 9/11-style commission? |
|
We can convene it next January and look at all the angles. Not to place blame, mind you, but to learn lessons for the future.

Yeah, let's convene a commission about this. That's the correct solution to problems, right? :eyes:

13. No, it's just the kind of thing that anonymous does. |
|
It's funny on so many levels, and takes a certain flair and some amount of expertise.
My husband was watching 4chan (disclaimer: don't go to 4chan if you're at work) as this happened. anonymous isn't political, they just do things to be funny. There's no agenda, and no hidden motives.

|
Yeah, that would be mature leadership while the economy crumbles.

5. Lieberman tried something similar back in 2006. |
|
IIRC, his website was hacked and he blamed his opponent for it. Later on, it came out that it was due to his own staff.

6. This could be a Rovian trick |

This almost sounds like the time that he reportedly bugged his own candidate's office and then went public about it at the 11th hour forcing his opponent to answer questions about it and contributing to the defeat of his candidate's opponent. It was later determined by investigators that he had planted the bug himself. I hope it just turns out to be some random unaffiliated hackers.
BTW: How much of an idiot would you have to be to conduct STATE BUSINESS on Yahoo???!!! Oh, wait a min........

Wouldn't surprise me a bit if its a trick and, of course, the results from the investigation will come out months from now.

9. Yes, it could definitely be a setup |
|
On the other hand, it can't be very hard to hack into a Yahoo account and any public figure using one would likely be targeted. My question how did these guys find out that she had a Yahoo account?

gov.palin@yahoo.com and gov.sarah@yahoo.com. Just google them and check the dates that the stories were cached.

14. I'm certain there are parts of the US gov's resources that |
|
can track down anonymous, but I really hope they don't pull them out of the shadows for this. The run of the mill security guys for .gov networks won't lay a glove on them, it'd take NSA, and if NSA wants them, they're toast.

These folks didn't hack into government property. They hacked into a private company. If anyone is going to go after them it should be Yahoo or Mooseburger.

The woman was using a Yahoo email account to run governmental business for the state of Alaska - what the fuck did she think was going to happen? The only reason she used this email addy was to avoid having to legally submit her communications for public scrutiny. This is NOT a diabolical Rovian trap - this is a third rate political mind trying to avoid participation in a democracy - or a republic - or what ever you call this bastardized form of government the republicans have given us by shredding the constitution for 8 continuous years. If anything the republicans hacked her email themselves to provide "plausable deniability" for any of the lame brain shit that turns up that this stupid woman wrote as part of her "As The World Turns/All My Children" style of governing.
Frankly, I think she should be impeached for trying to circumvent the constitution she swore to uphold.
Dirty Laundry indeed...
