Insider Advantage Georgia Poll: McCain 51(-5), Obama 43 (+5) |
|
I dont think Obama will ultimately win here, but he has closed the gap by 10 points in a week, and I think we can force McCain to spend major money here if we make it appear close. http://www.realclearpolitics.com/RCP_PDF/IA_Georgia_Poll91808.pdf

1. I'm in GA and I still believe that Obama may just pull it out. The voter turnout here will be |
|
tremendous and unprecedented. We shall see, but I would by no means count GA out.

Let's figure out a way to get the young voters to the polls.
#1 Priority for boots on the ground. IMO.
Great work and keep it up!

But given what I know about the south, I don't hold much hope for anything below the Mason Dixon line except maybe Florida.

4. that would be good strategy though.. if a state that no one |
|
thought Obama would get suddenly came up for grabs and McCain had to waste a bunch of money there.

If we can make McCain earn those electoral votes, that's money and time he can't spend in Florida.

5. If he is this close in GA then he is ahead in places like NC and VA. |
|
Major turn in polling in the past 3 days.

6. That would be REALLY funny if he somehow won like 51-49 on election night |
|

7. I think GA will go purple, but not blue |
|
I think it'll be one or two more election cycles before GA could go blue. We have a much better shot in NC though. NC is already purple in many ways.

8. In 2000 and 2004, you couldn't spit |
|
without hitting a vehicle with a * sticker in my part of GA. I have yet to see even ONE McCain bumper sticker and only a few yard signs.
I personally don't think the natives are very enthused at their choices this time around.

10. I have said the same thing many times. |
|
I see Obama stickers EVERY DAY. I have seen a grand total of two McSame stickers in over a month of looking.
I predict 50/40/10 Obama/McCain/Barr.

9. Sadly, I don't think he can win GA, but the contrary movement between ... |
|
McCain and Obama might mirror a national trend in our favor which bodes well.
He is losing ground and we are gaining.

11. Good GOD, who even listens to Insider Advantage? |
|
Those guys are Gingrich followers, their sample sizes are way too small, and Barr isn't on the list. Their polls are such utter bullshit that I can't believe any serious news organization publishes their "results."
