I'm sorry, but I don't understand why the Keating Five has not been more discussed... |
|
Is this just ignorance on my part? I apologize if it is.
But why is the Dem camp not bringing up the Keating Five? I mean... McCain was such a part of that, and for fucks sake - Phil Gramm is his financial advisor!! Why now, in this time of economic uncertainty, would anybody consciously put their vote towards someone with McCain's record?
Again, I apologize if this is superfluous on my part... It is just so appalling to me.

The Obama campaign has to inject it, has to make it relevant again. I'm not sure how they do that, but they'd better find a way. There's enough there to finish McCain if the details are rehashed under greater scrutiny. All those people who say he used to be an honorable man. Puh-leez. He's been a scumbag for decades. No wonder he loves Lieberman so much: they're very similar.

If the DNC is smart, they will choose this moment to bring it up, because the Savings & Loan Scandal speaks directly to the economic meltdown we are experiencing now.

The only thing he seems to have learned this time around is how not to get caught with his hand in the cookie jar.
