Tell every person you meet who mentions the stock market......
it was less than a year ago the Bush/Mcain republicans wanted to put the social security trust fund in the stock market.

This would have resulted in the loss of 25% of the fund this week.

Thankfully the democrats in congress stopped this from happening.

One more huge thing Bush/Mcain were horribly wrong about.

2. And don't forget to mention that the money went somewhere, it didn't just vanish.
It went into someone's pocket. A pocket belonging to a fat cat.

4. And some of those fat cats were Bushes.
At least two Bushes were involved with Lehman..
Jeb Bush and George Herbert Walker IV.

5. The Obama campaign really needs to put out an ad...pronto!
That would answer the "judgement" question.

It needs to be played especially during soaps and anything old ladies watch. They live longer and need their SS. The older demographic is currently going to McCain. THIS could change that. It SHOULD!!!

6. Damn right. Hell I can write the ad off the top of my head.
Video of headlines featuring stock market losses ...

Narrator: McCain voted to privatize our social security. If McCain and the Republicans succeeded, then many seniors would have been devastated by the current crisis on Wall Street.

Senior Citizen: I've worked hard all my life, and I think I've earned the right to social security that's reliable and steady. Something I can count on. John McCain and the Republicans wanted to turn my social security into a Wall Street casino. That reflects poor judgment, and it's not the kind of leadership America needs.

8. Awesome...
That is a very good ad proposal. I would just add one more thing...

At the end of the Senior Citizen's statement have the screen fade to back with the narrator saying: "So on November 4th think... really think about your vote! And ask yourself: Who do you want to see sitting... In this office!"

Have a picture of both Barack and Joe appear as they both say starting with Barack.

"I'm Barack Obama...

Then Joe...

"And I'm Joe Biden...

Then both men...

"And we both support this message!"

They did it. McCain did it.

They opposed oversight.

They wanted deregulation. They got their fucking deregulation.

Say it over and over and over and over and over.

The American people need to hear something about 100 times before that halfway get it.

14. Best to focus on >>instability
People forget quickly that the market was down ... we need to remind them that it is instable and that is not good for social security even if rabbits can still be pulled out of hats for the moment
