60 Minutes: Obama looking for those Iraqi Oil Agreements too?
First thing Obama would do as President would get his Joint Chiefs of Staff together on Iraq... Conditions for exiting included those OIl Agreements...?

Ya, I know... you can't get everything you want in a candidate...

It's just that I wonder what's up. Iraqi oil agreements, clean coal, TellCom bailout and spying...

I guess we are getting slightly left of middle with Obama... Clinton was the same and America prospered .

1. What's wrong with Iraqi oil agreements?
I'm not arguing for them, I really don't know the issues surrounding them.

2. With Bush - most oil agreements go to western companies - not Iraq

3. I'm pretty sure he was talking about the oil agreements between
the different Sunni and Shia regions of Iraq.

4. If memory serves me
what I think Obama is referring too regarding oil agreements, was that when W sold us the war, in the aftermath, the Iraqis were supposed to use oil revenues to rebuild their country, so that it was NOT suppose to cost us (taxpayers) bucks for rebuilding infrastuctures, etc.....and Obama is I think saying, where's the oil deals that were to pay for the rebuild, etc.......I also wish he'd ask where are the flowers? YOu know, the ones they were suppose to throw at the feet of our troops? I guess FTD didn't get the orders........

5. The oil agreements are so Iraqi's can manage their own economy.
And pay for their own army, rebuilding, etc.

6. Middle eastern oil has been a stated
part of our 'national security' since Carter. I have no idea how the chessboard is looking these days, but China got the first contract with the Iraqi government. The world won't stop because Obama is President. The difference may be that he will be able to negotiate rather than bomb. Wouldn't that be something?
