Theory: If the press is setting up McCain to be the "foreign policy expert" in the first debate, |
|
they're setting him up for EPIC FAIL, and this may be on purpose.
Obama is very much not a dummy on these matters, and could easily tear McBush to shreds.
What do you think?

9. Yes, I read that too. Apparently Obama wanted the economic |
|
debate to be last because it's his perceived strength and he wanted to end the debates that way. However, I think he will rip McCain to shreds in all 3 debates.

2. McCain is no expert on foreign affairs he is bellicose and superficial |
|
He thinks that because he has met the President of Georgia that he knows what is going on.
I am willing to be he doesn't even know the name of the breakaway province - South Ossetia

5. It's over as soon as people realize what Randy Scheunemann has done. |
|
Many years ago it probably would have been considered treason to be paid by foreign governments to advocate for an unnecessary war.

3. Obama will be knowledgeable and McBush will bark slogans. |

After the last eight years of disastrous stewardship, I'm banking on the majority of Americans going for the smart guy.

6. Yep that will be the plot line |
|
Obama needs to keep his answers crisp and not go off tangents. He needs to speak bullet points first and then fill in with details later if he has time or leave it for a follow up question.

4. McCain is far from an expert. |
|
Much like his running mate, he has little interest in, or knowledge of, foreign policy. He mainly just recites a series of talking points.
Remember how on his recent trip to the Middle East he needed Lieberman to remind him of the difference between Sunni and Shia?

10. That doesn't matter, however |
|
If he can get off a few good RW talking points and/or maybe one or two funny lines, McCain's base will fall all over him in fawning admiration.

7. If people bitch about this they are morons. This is fantastic for us. |
|
People won't be expecting anything out of Obama. If he delivers, he will be ahead 10 points after the debate.
